Enforced BRD
[edit]Can we talk about renaming Wikipedia:Enforced BRD?
Actual BRD looks like this:
- You found a dispute that's stuck, and you made (you think) a clever edit that (you hope) might resolve the dispute.
- You wait to see if anyone reverts you.
- If they do, then you talk specifically to that one person, to see why that person objected enough to revert you, and to see if the two of you can reach a compromise.
Awilley has written User:Awilley/Enforced BRD FAQ and User:Awilley/Consensus Required vs Enforced BRD. The process for these is:
- Somebody reverted something.
- If you want to revert them back, you have to (a) post a note on the talk page and (b) wait 24 hours. Then you can re-revert them.
These are not the same thing at all. Could we maybe give it another name, like "24 hours' notice required"? WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:56, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
